How it all started

A few years ago, while walking through a convenience store in Switzerland, I stopped by the drinks section and was struck by something unexpected.
All those aluminum cans. So much color, creativity, and design.
Each one carefully crafted to stand out. I thought: There’s real art in this packaging. What if it didn’t end in the trash? What if it could become something lasting?

That’s when the idea hit me: what if I could turn these cans into jewelry?

At first, it seemed impossible. Aluminum is tricky. It’s soft, sharp, and hard to shape in a way that’s beautiful and wearable. I experimented, failed, rethought everything… and eventually, I found a way to transform cans into something strong, striking, and meaningful.

That’s how CRUSHD™ was born.

I chose rings and charms. Because they are personal. They're worn close like a small piece of art that lives with you. But I didn’t want them to just look like branded merchandise. I wanted each piece to have character, not just color. Something raw, expressive, and authentic.

The real breakthrough? A proprietary pressing technique I developed to crush the aluminum safely, strengthen it, and give it that imperfect, untamed finish — without leaving sharp edges, without having to grind and polish them.

Today, I crush every can by hand. Every ring and every charm is shaped with care, never polished smooth, never mass-produced. Each one is different — just like the person who wears it.
